The CSFI is an educational charity whose work is funded by a
wide range of institutional and individual supporters.

Purpose

The CSFI is an independent forum where financial services professionals and observers can share ideas about the challenges and opportunities facing the sector. The Centre functions as a critical friend to one of the most dynamic and important parts of the UK economy, recognising that what happens in the world of financial services affects everyone - for better or worse. This spirit of free and intelligent discussion, unshackled from competitive constraints or partisan agendas, has been at the heart of the CSFI's reputation since its founding in 1993. To learn more about the Centre's activities, visit the About page and take a look at our upcoming events, past events and publications. To discuss the Centre's programme in further detail, please contact Angus Young. If you are interested in supporting the CSFI, please contact William Taylor.

Corporate Supporters

The Centre receives financial and in-kind support from over 80 institutions, drawn from the worlds of financial and professional services, regulation and supervision, and government officialdom. Corporate supporters typically provide funding contributions between £500 and £15,000 (the amount is entirely at the institution's discretion). The benefits of supporting the Centre are severalfold:

  • Learning and networking: all employees from the supporting institution are entitled to attend CSFI round-tables and dinner discussions; these events, of which there are around 100 per year, attract hundreds of expert speakers and several thousand delegates, providing an excellent opportunity for employees to sharpen their understanding of the key issues facing their sector, and to network with a diverse range of peers.

  • Corporate social responsibility: support (and influence) the work of a respected educational charity, which both facilitates healthy debate within the UK financial services sector and seeks to engage audiences beyond the City in those debates.

  • Corporate profile: the Centre regularly co-hosts events with corporate supporters, including high-level dinners discussions with leading figures in finance and regulation, and always welcomes speaker contributions by representatives from supporter institutions.

Individual Membership

The CSFI enjoys the support of more than fifty generous individuals, who receive the same benefits as corporate supporters, including: access to all Centre round-tables and dinner discussions, opportunities to speak as a panellist, and influence over the Centre's programme of activities. The suggested donation for individual members is £300.

Online Donation

The CSFI is now accepting online donations via the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). This is the most cost-effective way for the Centre to collect one-off donations online and allows supporters to GiftAid their donations.

Payment methods accepted: credit or debit card / PayPal / CAF Charity Account / CAF Charitable Trust.
