Jemima Kelly of FT Alphaville is now safely returned from Kaliningrad (again) and will be back in the driving seat to help us sort through this month’s biggest FinTech stories.

Alongside Jemima will be Suchitra Nair, director and FinTech specialist in Deloitte’s EMEA Centre for Regulatory Strategy, and Martin Walker, head of product management at Broadridge for securities finance and collateral management and a former senior capital markets IT executive at HSBC, RBS, and DKW.

So what’s been happening? Jemima, Suchitra and Martin will no doubt have plenty of views, but as a flavour :

  • Funding Circle has priced its long-awaited IPO;

  • The FCA has fined Tesco Bank £16.4million for its 2016 cyber breach, as a wave of other banks suffer service outages;

  • The Treasury Select Committee published its findings on digital currencies;

  • JPMorgan has recruited over 70 banks to its Interbank Information Network; and

  • RBS has christened its new digital-only bank “Bo”.

Sincerely yours,
